Kannaixin is a plant species belonging to the Caryophylláceae family. Carnation flowers in China are brewed and drunk for health purposes. It is believed that it beneficially affects the work of the liver, improves eyesight and cleanses the blood.
Dry flowers can be brewed with hot water (80-95°C). The proportion is 4-5 flowers per 100 ml. The first brew should last for 15 seconds. After that make short brews, increasing the brewing time gradually. You can repeat this brewing method up to 10 times.
When brewing the flowers give a transparent infusion of pink hue, with tender aroma and delicate taste with acid berry nuance.
