“Golden Tips from Ban Zhang” is made of maocha harvested during the 2010 in the area of Lao Ban Zhang village (Bu Lang Mountain, Menghai County, Xishuang Banna tea region, Yunnan province). Pressed by order of MoyChay.ru company in 2016.
357 g teacake of medium density, easily broken with fingers into medium size strings of twisted dark brown and reddish-yellow buds. The aroma of dry tea is discreet, with hints of nuts and bread. The infusion has an intense reddish-brown hue.
The brewed tea has a mellow, nutty bouquet with notes of rustic bread, wood resins and dried fruits. The taste is intense, rich, a bit astringent, sweetish, with a chocolate bitterness and light berry sourness. The aroma is deep and warm. The aftertaste is pleasant, velvety.
Preparation: brew with boiling hot water (95-100°C) in a gaiwan or a teapot made of porous clay for Ripe Pu'er. The proportion is 5-6 g per 100 ml. Make first infusion for 10-15 seconds, after just rinse water through teapot or gaiwan brewing longer each next infusion as required. Brew this way 9-10 times.
