"Gua Feng Zhai" is the name of one of the most remote villages in Yiwu mountains in South-East of Xishuangbanna, which has become extremely popular among Sheng Pu'er collectors in recent years. Teacakes "Yiwu Tou Chun" ("The beginning of spring in Yiwu mountains ") were prepared from the first spring shoots of the large Yunnan large-leaved tea trees in 2016. They were exclusively produced for Moychay.ru Company in April 2016.
A 357-g teacake, medium density, easily broken by fingers into large, silvery-beige, fleecy buds and large, curved strings of purplish-brown and brown leaves with long stems. The fragrance of dry tea is delicate woody-berry. The infusion is transparent, of a wheat colour.
The brewed tea has a bright, subtle, multi-layered flavour with woody-berry, black currant, forest mushrooms, exotic wood resins and mint notes. The taste is luscious, soothing, multi-layered, smooth, sweetish, slightly astringent with a light sour berry nuance. The scent is light, sweet, honey-berry. A pleasant refreshing aftertaste.
Preparation: brew with boiling water (95°C) in a gaiwan or a teapot for Sheng Pu'er of porous clay. The proportion is 6-8 g per 100 ml. Make first infusion for 10 seconds, after just rinse water through teapot or gaiwan brewing longer each next infusion as required. Brew this way 9-10 times.
A wonderful young Sheng - bright, rich and dynamic, with an interesting original taste and an extremely positive effect. It has a high potential for development and long-term collection ageing.
