Aged white tea «Mudan Wang» («King of Peonies») spring harvest of 2012 from Zhenghe County (Fujian Province).
285-g teacake of medium density, easily stratified into flat, brown leaves with thin cuttings and silvery buds. The aroma is calm, spicy-herbaceous. The infusion is transparent, with a grape yellow shade.
A bouquet of the ready-made tea is multifaceted, spicy-herbaceous with floral, woody, wine, honey, autumnal and fruity notes. The aroma is warm and bright, spicy-floral. The taste is full-bodied and soft, a bit spicy, sweet, with a refined berry acidity and long, refreshing aftertaste.
Brew tea with hot water (90-95°C) in a gaiwan or a teapot made of porous clay. The proportion is 4 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 5-7 seconds. After that do short steeps (just for 1-2 seconds) increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can steep the tea up to 12 times.
«Mudan Wang» is a great choice for ceremonial tea drinking: multifaceted, soft, long and harmonious.
