Top Tier "Basket Tea" is made in Liu An Prefecture (Anhui Province) by traditional multi-stage fermentation technology. This kind of tea is very popular in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, where it is mainly exported.
In appearance: small, thin flagella of purple-brown leaves and yellow-reddish buds. The aroma is deep and warm, with biscuit and berry hints. The infusion is transparent, apricot color.
The brewed tea has mature, complex bouquet with notes of dried apricot and juniper, biscuit and peanut, spices and citrus. The aroma is warm and deep, fruity. The taste is rich and soft, velvety, sweetish, pleasantly tart, with lemon acidity and spicy nuances, transforming into lingering finish.
Brewing suggestions. Brew tea with hot boiling water (95°C) in a gaiwan or a teapot made of porous clay. The proportion is 5-6 g per 100 ml. The first infusion should last for 8-10 seconds. After that do short brews (just for 2-3 seconds), increasing exposure time for each subsequent brewing, if necessary. You can repeat this method up to 10 times.
Top Tier "Basket Tea" is the harmonious blend of sweetness, astringency, richness and fragrance. The effect is warming, mild tonic.
