«Taiping Houkui» («The Monkey King from Taiping») is a green tea from Huangshan County (Anhui Province), the very first spring harvest of 2019.
In appearance: large (8-10 cm), flat, dark green stripes of tea shoots. The aroma is delicate, grassy with a nutty accent. The infusion is transparent, with a very light green shade.
The bouquet of the ready-made tea is fresh, herbaceous, with floral and nutty notes. The delicate scent of a summer meadow. The taste is soft and sweet, full-bodied and buttery, with a delicate berry acidity and long, lingering aftertaste.
Brew tea with hot water (80°C) in a porcelain gaiwan or in a teapot of porous clay. The proportion is 3-4 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 10 seconds. After that do short steeps (just for 3-5 seconds) increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can steep the tea up to 6-7 times.
