«Nilgiri winter frost» is a semi-fermented black tea from organic plantations located at an altitude of 1800-1900 meters above sea level in the Nilgiri region (Tamil Nadu district, the southern spurs of the Western Ghats). Harvest: November 2020.
In appearance: medium-sized curved, twisted, brown leaves and green leaves, their fragments and thin cuttings. The fragrance is restrained, fruity-floral. The liquor is transparent, with an amber shade.
The bouquet of the ready-made tea is vivid, fruity-and-woody with floral, spicy and citrus notes. The fragrance is tender, fruity-and-woody. The taste is dense and sappy, a bit astringent, sweetish, with fine lemon sourness and refreshing finish.
Brew tea with hot water (85-90°С) in a porcelain gaiwan or in a teapot of porous clay. The proportion is 5 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is 15 seconds. After that with an initial exposure of 5 seconds and bringing the exposure time to 2 minutes, you can steep the tea 5 more times.
