Red tea «Jin Xuan» was made in Alishan mountains (central Taiwan) from autumnal shoots of Jin Xuan cultivar (harvest 2018).

In appearance: small reddish-brown pellets of twisted tea shoots. The fragrance is intensive, fruity with honey accent. The liquor is transparent, with amber hue.

The bouquet of ready-made tea is bright and warm, fruity with honey, spicy, woody and citrus notes. The fragrance is deep and multifaceted, warm. The taste is refined and full-bodied, sweet, with delicate fruity sourness, spicy nuances and lingering finish.

Brew tea with hot water (95°С) in a porcelain gaiwan or in a teapot of porous clay. The proportion is 6 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 5-7 seconds. After that do short steeps (just for 1 second), increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can repeat this method up to 9 times.

Мне данный чай достался в виде подарка к моему заказу. В десяти граммах, что я получил, я обнаружил частички веточек (или стебельков) и, частички сырья, вероятно, зелёного чая.
На вкус чай немножко отдавал то ли сыростью, то ли тухлятиной. Но при первом проливе он неплохо так пах, как солидный красный чай. Я бы поставил 1.5/5 ему, если б у меня была возможность ставить оценку.

Сочный и густой аромат сухого листа, ожидаемо теплый, с шиповником, темным медом и лёгкой ментоловой свежестью.
В дальнейшем при заваривании к этому букету добавляется немного финика, смоковницы и трав.

Во вкусе напоминает сладость инжира, компота из сухофруктов. Вроде бы мягкий, но с акцентами на кисло-сладости фруктов.

Очень люблю в подобных тайваньцах эту теплоту. Лёгкую, без излишней терпкости, маслянистую. Неимоверно сладкий... будто с медом или стевией.

Очень тонкий и легкий чаек. Едва слышный профиль красного чая, возможно в этом его прелесть, но явно не для меня. Заваривал 10 грамм на 170 мл, но как не выдерживал не удалось увести в сторону терпкости и почувствовать всю насыщенность красного чая. Аромат прекрасный, за это и четверочка)

Попробуйте Алишань улун Хун Ча, вот он ближе к красному. Этот гибрид действительно чуть меньшей ферментации, поэтому показывает большую игру вкусов. Даже удалось поймать ореховую маслянистость, чему был очень удивлён. Вообще тайваньские красные улуны, имхо, стоит заваривать чуть более внимательно и в стандартной пропорции (4-5 гр на 100 мл). Очень удивительно, что у вас он не ушёл в терпкость при такой пропорции, потому что чай весьма хрупкий, требующий внимания. Особенно хорошо подойдёт и фарфоровая гайвань. Конечно, каждый ценит что-то своё в чае, но стоит ли искать здесь терпкость и насыщенность и не легче ли найти это среди материковых красных.
