“Zhangzhou Laoshu Hong Cha” is the red tea from Zhangzhou county (Fujian province) made from autumnal shoots of old tea bushes, harvest 2018.
In appearance: large, dark maroon flagella of twisted leaves. The fragrance is deep, floral. The liquor is transparent, with a shade of hazelnut.
The bouquet of ready-made tea is warm and bright, spicy-floral, with woody and berry notes (a lot in common with the Te Guanyin oolong). The aroma is deep and warm, spicy-floral. The taste is refined and juicy, sweetish, with fine berry sourness and spicy nuances, transforming into the lingering finish.
Brew tea with hot water (90-95°С) in a porcelain gaiwan or in a teapot of porous clay. The proportion is 5 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 6-8 seconds. After that do short steeps (just for 1-2 seconds), increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can repeat this method up to 8-9 times.
“Zhangzhou Laoshu Hong Cha” is an excellent choice for a ceremonial tea party: great taste, charming aroma and pacifying effect.
