“Small bushes from Zhen Shan Mountain” is made by “Moychay” special order in the Wuyishan natural reserve (Fujian province). It is one of the oldest tea sorts which is known since XV century. This tea was very popular as Lapsang Souchong in Europe and it determined the future development of tea production in the South-east part of China.
The dry cha bing, tea cake is 100 grams weight, it is quite dense and easily crushed by fingers. The raw material is homogeneous and consists of small twisted dark brown leaves and red buds. The aroma of dry tea is warm, spicy, with fruit and corny nuances. The infusion is clear of rich red-brown color.
The bouquet of brewed tea is honey, corny with rose, prunes and dry apricot tones. The aroma is rich, warm, floral and honey. The taste is strong, a bit astringent, sweet with slight briar sour nuance. The aftertaste is rich and sweet.
Infuse this tea with boiled water of 95-100°С in yixing tea pot for red teas or in thick walled gaiwan. Take 5 grams for 120 ml volume dish. Pour off first infusion, after infuse tea for 10 seconds and increase infusion time gradually till 2 minutes. It is very nice to boil this tea on open fire, and you can “one-time” infuse it in tea-infuser, cup or thermos (2-3 grams for 500 ml of water).
This is excellent tea for everyday tea time, especially during cold seasons. It has soft tonic, heating, meditative effect. It perfectly suits with deserts and milk.
