"Gunfuhun" or "Red Tea of Highest Mastery" is made of spring shoots harvested in the mountains of province Fanzin (North-West tea region) in 2016.
When dry, these are big reddish-brown needles of compressed tea leaves with long stems, with rich scent of honey and berries. Transparent infusion of reddish-brown colour.
Ready tea has bright rich fruity-spicy bouquet with notes of fresh berries, rye bread, woody resins, honey, apricot kernels and citrus. Its taste is rich and strong, astringent, with bright sourness of citrus and bitterness of apricot kernels. Thick and deep fruity-spicy frangrance. Luschious aftertaste.
Preparation: with boiling water (95°С) in a ceramic pot of unglazed clay for red teas, or in a gaiwan. Proportion of tea to water: 4-5 g to 100 ml. Use the leaves several times (up to 9-10 circles) gradually extending the steeping period.
Excellent reasonable budget choice for everyday use - bright, rich and invigorating.
