Red tea from Qimen County (Anhui Province) was made of early spring tea buds (harvest 2009) by traditional technology.
In appearance: lengthwise twisted, tinny buds of dark brown color. The aroma is restrained, woody with spicy hint. The liquor is transparent, golden almond color.
The brewed tea has warm, mature, complex bouquet with hints of pine, wild berries, spice and citrus. The aroma is rich, deep and warm. The taste is mild and refined, silky, a bit tart, with delicate lemon acidity and distinctive softness of mature tea, transforming into refreshing finish.
Brewing suggestions. Brew tea with hot boiling water (95°C) in a porcelain gaiwan or a teapot of porous clay. The proportion is 5 g per 100 ml. The first infusion should last for 8-10 seconds. After that do short brews (just for 2-3 seconds), increasing exposure time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can repeat this method up to 8-9 times.
«Red tea from Qimen» is the right choice for gourmets and connoisseurs - deep, multifaceted and soft.
