«Gaba Dali Foxiang Shaiqing Cha» was made in 2018 in the North-West of Yunnan Province (Dali District) from the tips of Foxiang tea variety by the vacuum fermentation technology. At the final stage of processing, it was dried naturally in the sun. Cultivar Foxiang (literally “the fragrance of Buddha”) was bred in Menghai County, Yunnan Province in 1987. A characteristic feature of the variety is the bright fruity-flower aroma of the ready-made tea. In the old days, the district was called Fohai (literally “Sea of Buddha”). Thus, the name Foxiang unites the main feature of the variety and the ancient tea traditions of its «small Motherland».
In appearance: large, olive-brown flagella of twisted leaves with thin cuttings and silvery tips. The aroma is intensive, floral with a fruity accent. The infusion is transparent with a shade of white grapes.
The bouquet of ready-made tea is fresh and vivid, fruity-floral, with spicy, berry and woody notes. The fragrance is high and tender, fruity-floral. The taste is full-bodied and mild, sweetish, with light woody tartness, refreshing berry sourness, spicy nuances, and lingering finish.
Brew tea with hot water (90-95°C) in a gaiwan or a teapot made of porous clay. The proportion is 5 g per 100 ml. The first infusion should last for 6-8 seconds. After that do short steeps (just for 1-2 seconds), increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can steep the tea up to 10 times.
«Gaba Dali Foxiang Shaiqing Cha» is a great choice for the tea ceremony: exquisite taste, divine aroma, extremely positive effect.
