The Mengku tea region (Shuang Jiang District, Lincang County) is located in the Southeast spurs of Da Xue Shan (the Great Snowy Mountains), in the North-west of Yunnan. "Sprouts of ancient trees" is made of spring tea shoots of century-old trees that grow there in the high-mountain forest among other species of flora.
In appearance: large, lengthwise twisted, gray-brown leaves and silver buds with long cuttings. The aroma is calm, woody-herbal. The infusion is transparent, yellow grapes color.
The brewed tea has a refined, woody-balsamic bouquet with herbal and camphor notes. The aroma is mild, herbal-floral. The taste is smooth, saturated, sliding, with spicy hints – opens up gradually, transforming into cool, refreshing aftertaste.
Brewing suggestions. Brew tea with hot boiling water (95°C) in a gaiwan or a teapot for Raw Puer made of porous clay. The proportion is 6 g per 100 ml. The first infusion should last for 8-10 seconds. After that do short brews (just for 1 second), increasing exposure time for each subsequent brewing, if necessary. You can repeat this method up to 10 times.
