"Yiarsan" or "One Two Three" grade was harvested and prepared from first spring shoots in Mo Jiang area of administrative district Pu'er, crop of 2006.
When dry, these are silvery and brown fleecy buds of medium size. The aroma of dry tea is very moderate, spicy- woody. The infusion is transparent, and has a bright yellowish-olive shade.
The bouquet of ready tea is bright, multi-layered, woody-balsamic with hints of herbs, dried fruits and citrus. The taste is rich, smooth, slightly astringent, with a citric sourness and hot spice notes. The flavour reveals itself in a a fast and dynamic manner. The aroma is moderate floral- woody. A nice refreshing aftertaste.
Preparation: brew with boiling hot water (95-100°C) in a gaiwan or a teapot made of porous clay for Sheng Pu'er. The proportion is 3 - 4 g per 100 ml. Use "pouring brewing method" (pouring water through leaves, starting from minimal exposure and gradually extending exposure time). The leaves last for 9 - 10 brews.
A good choice for everyday tea breaks – bright but not haunting, rich but not heavy, a gentle tonic causing a lot of pleasant sensations.
