Shu Puer Menghai 7572 – is a recipe that had withstood the test of time, had been reissued many times by the Menghai factory and also forged much more often than the others because of it’s vogue. In fact, this blend is a very good proportion of different types of materials. The first two numbers indicate the year of issue of the recipe (1975), the third number 7 indicates the sort of the leaf, and the last number 2 is encoded as “Menghai tea plant”.
357-gram cake is dense enough, but breaks easily. At the break-up: small flagellum of dark brown leaves and red sprouts, small cuttings. The flavour of the dried tea is calm, quiet, wood-berry. The brew has clear, rich, deep red-brown tone.
The bouquet of a ready-made tea is complicated, well-balanced, with notes of dried fruits and berries, bread, herbs, humid ground, autumn leaves, nuts and chocolate. The taste is bright, dense, juicy, rather soft, sweet, pleasantly tart, with a slight bitterness and sourness of dried berries. The aroma is mellow, voluminous, extensional, with bread, wine and fruity notes. Long and juicy aftertaste.
Brew it with the boiling water under 95-100 ° C in an adobe clay teapot or in a gaiwan for Shu Puers. The proportion of tea leaves to water: 6-8 g. to 100 ml. Holds up to 9-10 brews.
This is a classic Shu Puer for a variety of situations and moods - perfectly balanced, rich and friendly. The effect is warming, gently tonic, very harmonious.
