“Old Tea Heads from Bangdong” is made of tea shoots, collected in Shuangjiang District (Lincang County).
In appearance: large agglomerated lumps of small twisted dark brown leaves and yellow-reddish buds. The aroma is mature, nutty with fruity hint. The liquor is transparent, reddish-brown color.
The brewed tea has mature, complex nutty bouquet with hints of dried fruits, autumn leaves and scented herbs. The aroma is viscose, rich and warm. The taste is mild and velvety, multifaceted, sweetish, with delicate berry sourness and spicy nuances, transforming into tender finish.
Brewing suggestions. Brew tea with hot boiling water (95-100°C) in a gaiwan or a teapot for Ripe Pu'er made of porous clay. The proportion is 6 g per 100 ml. The first brew should last for 10-15 seconds. After that make short brews, increasing the exposure time with each subsequent step if necessary. You can repeat this brewing method up to 10 times.
Good choice for everyday tea drinking: mature, rich and soft. It goes well for a vigorous start of the day, and for a relaxing evening tea party.
