"Dragon Lumps from Old Trees of Ulyanshan Mountain" is a farmer's grade produced in autonomous district Jingdong of prefecture Pu'er. It is made from spring shoots of ancient tea trees, harvest 2016.
When dry, these are big dark-brown clotted lumps of leaves, stems and buds. The fragrance is moderate bready-nutty. The infusion is transparent and has a bright chestnut colour.
The bouquet of ready tea is mature, smooth, bready-nutty with notes of chocolate, bisquits, fruits, wood and milk cream. The taste is rich, soothing, velvety, sweetish with a hardly noticeable sourness and light nuances of spices. The taste is changing in the process of brewing. The aroma is rich, low, warm, fruity-nutty. A pleasant long aftertaste.
Preparation: brew with boiling hot water (100°С) in a teapot made of porous clay for Shu Pu'er, or in a ceramic gaiwan with thick walls. The proportion is 7-8 g per 100 ml. Use pouring brewing method (pour hot water through the leaves, gradually extending exposure time). The leaves last for up to 15 brews.
A wonderful Shu grade for different occasions and moods. However, taking into account its soothing qualities and high potential of brewing, use it for a "regenerating" tea break in the second part of the day.
