"Old Dragon's Heads" is a farmers' tea, made in a small farming enterprise of Menghai County. While wet stacking about 15% of leaves and buds stick together naturally in small clumps "czi tou Jean", which are poetically called the "Dragon's Heads".
When dry these are medium-cize dark brown clumps of leaves, stems and buds. The fragance is moderate, nutty-balsamic. The infusion is transparent and has a brown hue.
The bouquet of ready tea is ripe, nutty-balsamic with notes of wet ground, dried fruits and baked chestnuts. The taste is rich, smooth enough, silky, slightly sweet, with a light walnut bitterness and nuances of spices. Dense, deep, nutty scent. Pleasant and long aftertaste.
Preparation: brew with boiling hot (100°C) water in a teapot of porous clay for shu puers or in a ceramic gaiwan with thick walls. The proportion is 8 g per 100 ml. For the first time brew it for 15 seconds, then use "pouring brewing method" (pouring boiling hot water through leaves, gradually extending exposure). The leaves last for 9 brews.
An excellent choice for everyday teatime - smooth, multy-layered, long. The effect is warming, gentle and tonic.
