“Junshan Xiang Cha Wang” is an aged green tea, harvest 2004-2005, Hunan Province.
In appearance: thin, hairy spirals of grayish-green buds. The aroma is restrained, herbaceous. The infusion is transparent, with a shade of white grapes.
The bouquet of the ready-made tea is mature, multifaceted, woody-and-berry, with notes of dry champagne and spicy herbs. The aroma is complex, herbaceous. The taste is refined and full-bodied, a bit tart, sweetish, with a slight fruity sourness, spicy nuances and juicy aftertaste.
Steep the tea in hot water (90°C) in a gaiwan or a teapot made of porous clay. The proportion is 5 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 10 seconds. After that do short steeps increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can steep the tea up to 8-9 times.
“Junshan Xiang Cha Wang” is an excellent example of green tea with many years of aging.
