High elevation oolong “Gaoshan Guifei” was made in the North of Thailand in the spring of 2021.
In appearance: medium-size, brown-green pellets of twisted tea tips. The aroma is restrained, floral. The liquor is transparent, with a shade of peach.
The bouquet of brewed tea is vivid and multifaceted, berry-floral with honey, herbaceous, fruity and spicy notes. The aroma is tender, spicy-floral. The taste is full-bodied and sweet, oily, with a spark of spice, sourness of fresh berries and lingering, sappy finish.
Steep the tea in a hot water (85-90°C) in a porcelain gaiwan or a teapot of porous clay. The proportion is 5-6 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 15-20 seconds. After that do short steeps (just for 3-5 seconds), increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can steep the tea up to 12 times.
“Gaoshan Guifei” is a superb tea: vivid, versatile and long. We especially recommend it to those oolong connoisseurs who prefer floral and berry flavours.
