Stone brambleberry, or roebuck berry (Rúbus saxátilis) is a perennial herb of genus Rubus, Rose family (Rosáceae). Leaves were harvested, dried under low temperatures with great precision, and prepared by experienced herbalists in Tula region, in the beginning of May 2016, all natural healthful substances being preserved.
Brambleberry contains ascorbic acid, alcaloids, flavonoids, tannins and rutin.
In traditional medecine, brambleberry leaves and stems are used to treat colds, anemia, digestive disorders and as a sedative.
For general prophylactic purposes, make brambleberry tea by "pouring brewing method" (pouring boiling water through leaves). The recommended proportion is: 5 g of dried leaves with stems to 100 ml of boiling water. The leaves can last for 6 - 7 brews. For a single brew in a thermos, take 3 - 4 g of dried leaves and 250 - 300 ml of boiling water, brew for 15 - 20 min.
The infusion has a transparent light greenish-yellow colour, a delicate herbal sour-sweet taste with notes of green apples and spices, and a subtle herbal-fruity fragrance.
