Dalmatian chamomile or Pyrethrum Pyretrum cinerariifolium is a perennial herb of the family Asteraceae. Inflorescences with the upper parts of stems were picked and prepared in Adjara in summer, 2016.
Contains pyrethrins, tsinerins, flavonoid glycosides, essential oils, phytosterols, sesquiterpene lactones and fatty acids.
Thanks to pyrethrins and tsinerins Dalmatian chamomile is used as insecticide to kill insects and parasites. It’s compounds are not dangerous for warm-blooded animals and humans.
The brew of Dalmatian chamomile is used at the treatment of gastric diseases, hernia, cold, cough, fever, relaxation of bladder, as well as small and flat worms. Applied externally to treat scabies.
Wonderful wellness drink, brew it as tea in the proportion 2-3 g. of dry inflorescences per 100 ml. of water.
The drink has transparent, light yellow color, with a light oily taste and grassy-spicy aroma.
