Chrysánthemum is a herbaceous plant in the Asteraceae family. Chrysanthemum flower is one of the most beloved in China. Solar chrysanthemums, Tai Yang Ju, are grown in ecologically clean conditions of the foothills of Tibet (Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region).
Dry flowers can be brewed with hot water (95°C). The proportion is 5-6 flowers g per 100 ml. The first brew should last for 5-7 seconds. After that make short brews (just for 1-2 seconds), increasing the infusion time gradually. You can repeat this brewing method up to 8-9 times.
When brewing the flowers give a transparent infusion of golden hue, with a specific, herbaceous aroma and light, oily taste with a tender bitterness.
Traditionally it is used as an independent drink, and as an additive to shu-puers and green sorts of tea. Perfectly quenches thirst and refreshes.
