Wild strawberry (Fragária virídis) is a perennial plant of the genus Fragária, Rose family (Rosáceae). Leaves with stems and fruit inceptions on long stalks were harvested, dried under low temperatures with great precision, and prepared by experienced herbalists in Efremovskiy district, Tula region, in the summer of 2016, all healthful natural substances being preserved.
Dried Fragaria leaves are a rich source of vitamine C, they also contain B group vitamines, carotinoids, organic acids (citric, quinic, malic etc), natural sugars, aetherial oils, flavonoids, tannic substances, salts of iron, manganese and cobalt.
The infusion made from Fragaria leaves is used (in traditional medecine) as a diuretic in treatment of kidney and gall stones, diabetes and anaemia, as well as a general tonic in treating colds.
Preparation: put 3 - 5 g of dried leaves into a thermos, add 350 - 500 ml of boiling water, brew for 15 - 20 min. An even better method would be to prepare it like usual tea (pouring water through leaves): as the main herb or in as a part of multi-vitamine mixtures.
The ready drink has a very pleasant, rich and luscious sweet taste with a sour tannic note, and an intensive fresh herbal-berry fragrance.
