Dried Longiflorum lily flowers (Lílium longiflorum). It is a perennial grass of the Liliaceae family.
Traditionally lily flowers are used in China as a remedy for cold, stress, cough, digestive disorders, insomnia and increased excitability. Lily flowers herbal tea has warming, relaxing and calming effects.
The liquor of brewed dried lily flowers is orange, slightly cloudy because of the abundance of pollen. It has nice honey, floral aroma and a mild, sweet taste with fine acidity, a reminiscent of
brewed apricots.
Take a glass or white porcelain tea ware for brewing lilly herbal tea. Take 9-15 flowers per 100 ml vessel. Make short infusions (just a second) and increase the infusion time gradually. If you make single infusion, take 7-9 flowers per 200 ml. Lilly goes nice with lemon, honey and health boosting herbal teas.
