Ficus carica is a deciduous tree or large shrub of the Moraceae family. Its fruits, figs, contain sugars, vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B6, A, E, C, PP) and minerals (potassium, sodium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium). Figs are nutritious, have a slight laxative, diaphoretic and antipyretic effect.
Brewing suggestions. 5-6 g of dried fruits put in a thermos, pour boiling water (200-350 ml), close the lid and let it brew. After 15-20 minutes you will get a clear broth of light green hue, with original aroma (resembles chicken broth) and oily, sweetish taste. Flesh of softened fruits are also quite edible.
