«Shuixian Tulou» is the medium fire oolong made by the Hakka people who maintain the traditional way of life in the Tulou fortress house. Spring harvest 2020, hongbei: May 2020. The raw material used is the Chaozhou Shuixian variety, which is considered the progenitor of all cultivars in the Phoenix Mountains.
In appearance: large, dark brown, flagellum twisted leaves with thin cuttings. The fragrance is intensive, floral with a spicy accent. The liquor is transparent, with a mahogany shade.
The bouquet of ready-made tea is multifaceted and vivid, spicy-floral, with notes of wood resins, basil, allspice and red currant. The aroma is high and fresh, complex, spicy-floral. The taste is rich, slightly astringent, sweetish, with berry acidity, spicy nuances and lingering finish.
Steep the tea in a hot water (80-90°С) in a porcelain gaiwan or in a teapot of porous clay. The proportion is 4-5 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 5-7 seconds. After that do short steeps (just for 2-3 seconds), increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can steep the tea up to 10 times.
