The top grade («Teji») oolong «Lao Cong Aofuhou» («Wealth fragrance») from Wudong peak (Chaozhou county, Guangdong province) made from the very first spring shoots of old tea bushes. This variety was originally named after a place in the mountains of Phoenix at an altitude of 700 meters, where maternal tea bushes grow, which is located «behind the cave», or «Aokuhou». When the variety received deserved recognition and distribution, tea growers replaced the name with the homonymous «Aofuhou». Harvest: Spring 2018. Final baking (Kao Ho): Winter 2018.
In appearance: thin, graceful, burgundy-brown flagella of twisted leaves. The fragrance is refined, floral. The liquor is transparent, with a white grapes shade.
The bouquet of ready-made tea is exquisite and graceful, berry-floral, with notes of exotic wood resins, dried fruits, vanilla and black currant. The aroma is delightful, berry-floral. The taste is refined and full-bodied, silky and sweet, with fine woody tartness, refreshing berry sourness, spicy nuances and lingering finish.
Brew tea with hot water (95°С) in a porcelain gaiwan or in a teapot of porous clay. The proportion is 5-6 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 10 seconds. After that do short steeps (just for 1-2 seconds), increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can repeat this method up to 12 times.
