“Ya Shi Xiang” was made in the Fenghuangshan Mountains in the spring of 2021 from shoots of Ya Shi Xiang tea variety (medium fire).
In appearance: large, brown flagella of twisted leaves with thin cuttings. The fragrance is intensive, spicy-floral. The liquor is transparent, with a mahogany shade.
The bouquet of ready-made tea is multifaceted and vivid, spicy-floral, with notes of spicy herbs and citrus. The aroma is high and tender, berry-floral. The taste is refined and full-bodied, a bit astringent, with a light grapefruit bitterness and sourness of fresh berries, turning into a long, juicy finish.
Steep the tea in a hot water (90-95°C) in a gaiwan or in a teapot made of porous clay. The proportion is 4-5 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 10 seconds. After that do short steeps (for 1-2 seconds) increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can steep the tea up to 9 times.
“Ya Shi Xiang” is right choice for the gonfucha style. We especially recommend it to those who appreciate the delicate floral component in Chaozhou oolongs.
