Alpine oolong "Snow Grapefruit" was made in a small tea farm in the Wudong peak area in November 2017. Processed by qinxian technology (light fermentation, low heat).
In appearance: large, lengthwise twisted leaves of dark olive color. The aroma is rich, herbaceous-floral. Infusion is transparent, with a hue of white grapes.
The bouquet of brewed tea is bright and fresh, multifaceted, floral, with notes of aromatic herbs, lilac, peach and citrus. The fragrance is refined and sonorous, sweet, floral. The taste is full-bodied and oily, sweetish, with delicate citrus sourness, hints of spice and lingering finish.
Brew tea with hot water (95°C) in a porcelain gaiwan or a teapot of porous clay. The proportion is 4 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 10 seconds. After that do short steeps (just for 2-3 seconds), increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can steep the tea up to 10 times.
"Snow Grapefruit" is excellent choice for both everyday and ceremonial tea drinking. The effect is refreshing, mild tonic. Especially recommend it to those connoisseurs who appreciate subtle, floral component of Chaozhou oolongs.
