«Alishan Qin Hongbei» is made from the first spring tea shoots (harvest 2019) of Oolong cultivar harvested in the Alishan nature reserve (central Taiwan) by the qing xiang technology (light fermentation, soft fire).
In appearance: medium-sized, glossy, yellow-green pellets of twisted tea shoots. The aroma is fresh, floral-herbaceous. The liquor is transparent, with a yellow-green shade.
The bouquet of the ready-made tea is fresh, herbaceous, with nutty, floral and spicy notes. The aroma is rich, floral-herbaceous. The taste is refined and full-bodied, buttery, sweetish, with the delicate tartness of grapes, fruity sourness, and long, refreshing finish.
Brew tea with hot water (80-90°C) in a porcelain gaiwan or a teapot of porous clay. The proportion is 6-8 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 6-8 seconds. After that do short steeps (just for 1 second), increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can steep the tea up to 12 times.
«Alishan Zhong Hongbei» is a classic Taiwanese oolong for gourmet and connoisseurs.
