Aged «Baozhong» from Northern Taiwan, harvest 1997.
In appearance: curved flagella of burgundy-brown leaves. The aroma is deep, woody with vine accent. The liquor is transparent, with dark amber shade.
The bouquet of ready-made tea is mature and multifaceted, with notes of old dry wood, aged cognac, prunes, spicy herbs, honey and citruses. The aroma is deep and warm, complex. The taste is refined and mild, full-bodied, sweetish, oily, with fine berry sourness, spicy nuances and lingering finish.
Brew tea with hot water (95°С) in a porcelain gaiwan or in a teapot of porous clay. The proportion is 5 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 5-7 seconds. After that do short steeps (just for 1-2 seconds), increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can repeat this method up to 12 times.
Aged «Baozhong» is an outstanding ceremonial tea for connoisseurs and sophisticated lovers – multifaceted, deep, meditative.
