Aged Oolong “Dongding” from alpine Nantou County, baked on charcoal.
In appearance: large, glossy, dark brown pellets of twisted tea shoots. The aroma is restrained, woody with hints of cocoa beans and dried fruits. The liquor is transparent, with a chestnut shade.
The bouquet of the ready-made tea is multifaceted, woody-berry, with nutty, cognac, chocolate, spicy, smoked and balsamic notes. The aroma is warm, complex, fruity. The taste is rich and smooth, oily, sweetish, with spicy nuances, fruity acidity and refreshing finish.
Steep the tea in a hot water (95°C) in a teapot of porous clay or in a porcelain gaiwan. The proportion is 6 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 30 seconds. After that, starting with an exposure of 10 seconds and increasing the steeping time to 2 minutes, you can steep the tea up to 10 times.
Aged Oolong “Dongding” is an excellent choice for a gongfucha style tea ceremony. The effect is warming, relaxing, harmonious.
