A highly fermented aged oolong made from the shoots of Rougui variety.
In appearance: large, dark brown tea leaves twisted along the axis. The aroma is restrained, smoky. The liquor is transparent, with a dark amber shade.
The bouquet of the ready-made tea is warm, multifaceted, woody-herbaceous, with fruity, bakery and tobacco notes. The aroma is deep and warm, complex. The taste is rich and mellow, sweetish, mineral, with a slight woody tartness, spicy nuances and refreshing finish.
Steep the tea in a hot water (92-95°C) in a porcelain gaiwan or a porous clay teapot. The proportion is 6 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 10 seconds. After that do short steeps (2-3 seconds), increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can steep the tea up to 7 times.
“Chen Rou Gui” is an excellent choice for a gongfucha style tea ceremony. The effect is warming, meditative.
