«True Rocky Red Robe» is made of late autumn tea shoots grown in Wuyi Mountain Nature Reserve. During manufacturing the tea leaves were exposed to deep fermentation and baked on charcoal in traditional style (hight heat).
Dry leaf: lengthwise twisted, medium size, dark brown color. The aroma is warm, spicy-woody with fruity accent. The liquor is transparent, chestnut color.
The brewed tea has rich, roasted bouquet with notes of exotic wood tar, candied fruits and spicy biscuit. The aroma is warm and deep. The taste is strong, polyphonic, sliding, come out gradually: stunningly bright, with light fiery bitterness at the beginning, it changes to fruity sweet and mild, with fresh juicy aftertaste.
Brewing suggestions. Brew tea with hot water (95°C) in a porcelain gaiwan or a teapot for strong fermented oolongs of porous clay. The proportion is 8 g per 160 ml. The first infusion should last for 8-10 seconds. After that just rinse water through teapot or gaiwan, increasing the exposure of each next infusion. You can repeat this brewing method up to 10 times.
Outstanding tea for those Yancha connoisseurs, who appreciate its bright, roasted flavor and deep meditative impact.
