Oolong «Bai Rui Xiang» («Bai rui xiang flower») from Zhou Li Tea Farm, made in the spring of 2021. The Bai Zhui Xiang variety was bred in 2003 at the Fujian Tea Research Institute and is currently gaining more and more popularity among Wuyi tea growers.
In appearance: middle-sized, lengthwise twisted leaves of brown color. The aroma is intensive, spicy-biscuit. The liquor is transparent, with an amber shade.
The bouquet of ready-made tea is multifaceted and warm, spicy-biscuit, with floral, balsamic and fruity nuances. The aroma is warm and deep, spicy-floral; the cold aroma is sweet, floral. The taste is rich and smooth, sweetish, pleasantly tart, with a refined fruity sourness and the lingering finish.
Brew tea with hot boiling water (85-95°C) in a porcelain gaiwan or in a teapot of porous clay. The proportion is 5-6 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 5-7 seconds. After that do short steeps (just for 1-2 seconds), increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can repeat this method up to 7-8 times.
Oolong «Bai Rui Xiang» is an excellent choice for the gongfucha style, with a multifaceted taste and deep relaxing effect.
