"Xiao Hong Pao" or "Little Red Robe", which is often called the "little brother of the Big Robe", is a tea cultivar obtained as a result of the selection of Da Hong Pao mother plants. Harvest: Fall 2021. High fire.
In appearance: medium-sized, dark brown, flagellum twisted leaves. The fragrance is intensive, with hints of toast and dried fruit. The liquor is transparent, with a dark amber shade.
The bouquet of ready-made tea is warm, bread-and-spicy, with notes of fried toast and dried fruits. The aroma is warm and deep, complex. The taste is full-bodied and oily, a bit tart, with a delicate bitterness and lingering finish.
Steep the tea in a hot water (90-95°С) in a porcelain gaiwan or in a teapot made of porous clay. The proportion is 5-6 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is 10-15 seconds. After that do short steeps (just for 3-5 seconds), increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can steep the tea up to 5 times.
"Xiao Hong Pao" is a right choice for an emotional reboot in the afternoon.
