Oolong «Gaoshan Shuixian» is made from the first spring shoots of Shuixian cultivar in Yunlong tea farm by traditional technology (deep fermentation, long heating in baskets over smoldering charcoal). Hongbei: June 2018
Dry leaf: large, lengthwise twisted leaves of brown color. The fragrance is deep and warm, pastry with spicy accent. The liquor is transparent, with amber hue.
The bouquet of brewed tea is warm and complex, pastry with notes of exotic wood tar, flowers and fruits. The fragrance is deep and warm, polyphonic, woody. The taste is full-bodied and rich, sweetish with refined woody tartness and mineral notes that sign true yancha.
Brew tea with hot water (95°C) in a porcelain gaiwan or a teapot of porous clay. The proportion is 5-6 g per 100 ml. The first infusion should last for 5-7 seconds. After that do short brews (just for 1-2 seconds), increasing exposure time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can repeat this method up to 8 times.
«Gaoshan Shuixian» is an excellent yancha for gourmets and sophisticated connoisseurs. The effect is deep warming and relaxing, meditative.
