Oolong «Rougui» was made in May 2018 in the Yunlong tea farm from the first spring shoots of Rougui cultivar by traditional technology (deep fermentation, prolonged heating on charcoal). Hongbei: June 2018.
In appearance: large, lengthwise twisted leaves of brown color. The fragrance is deep and warm, spicy-pastry. The liquor is transparent, with golden almond hue.
The bouquet of brewed tea is warm and complex, with notes of pastry and spice, flowers and dried fruits. The fragrance is deep and warm, spicy, cold fragrance is tender, spicy-floral. The taste is full-bodied and mild, sweetish, with delicate fruity sourness and spicy nuances, transforming into lingering finish.
Brew tea with hot water (95°C) in a porcelain gaiwan or a teapot of porous clay. The proportion is 5 g per 100 ml. The first infusion should last for 5-7 seconds. After that do short brews (just for 1-2 seconds), increasing exposure time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can repeat this method up to 8 times.
«Rougui» is an excellent yancha for sophisticated connoisseurs – with a classical «melody of cliffs» in taste and aroma. The effect is warming, relaxing.
