Lecture "Naruto and Japanese culture"
Chakra, mudras and secret ninja techniques...
Manga, and later anime, "Naruto" at one time became a hit – and even now, after the release of the last chapter already in 2014, continues to excite the reader. Undoubtedly, this is an outstanding novel of growing up, and the viewer is pleased to walk this path with his hero, and the fantasticism and saturation of the world are amazing.
Author, mangaka Masashi Kishimoto, drew inspiration from Japanese folklore, mythology and religion: here we see both references to Buddhism and medieval religious movements. The names of the characters and techniques for the Japanese reader are speaking, the characters use artifacts mentioned in Japanese mythology and deconstruct postulates from the Mahayana teachings. You can watch anime and read manga without paying attention to it, but after the lecture you will get the opportunity to see the cultural subtext: who knows, maybe it will enrich your experience.
The presenter is Nina Voronina, a Japanese scholar and an anthropologist of religion
The cost of participation is 1000 rubles (we treat you to tea)
