Ganoderma or Lingzhi mushroom (Ganoderma lucidum) (Ling-Shi, Ling Zhi, Reishi) is one of the most famous mushroom in traditional medicine. It grows on the roots and trunks of the fallen oak acute (quercus acutissima) and other deciduous trees in China. It is known as "ling-zhi" in China and Korea. “Ling” means “gift” and “zhi” means “power”, so lingzhi means the mushroom/herb of immortality. This mushroom is best known in Japan as "Reishi" (mushroom spiritual power) and "mannentake" (10000 years mushroom), it is also called "sacred mushroom", "imperial mushroom", "mushroom of immortality". Lingzhi drugs (tinctures, extracts, dry extracts in capsules) are known in Russia and Ukraine as Lin-chi, Lynch, Reishi. Chinese traditional medicine states that Lingzhi is savorless, warm, it enters the channels of kidneys, liver, heart and lungs. It "nourishes and strengthens the body, supplies the essence of life (jing) and rids the harmful wind".
One of the first eastern medical textbooks "Shinnoh Honsohkyo" was written more than 2000 years ago in Japan. 365 herbs and mushrooms are mentioned in this text, that are classificated and described. The medicine remedies are divided into three main categories. These are 120 “supreme” remedies, 120 “medium” and 125 “right” remedies.
The Lingzhi mushroom is number one in the list of the “supreme” remedies. A hundred years ago, it was considered to be the source of endless youth and longevity. Also, Lingzhi was considered the remedy for any kind of cancer. So the relatives of those who got this scary diagnosis were looking for this unique remedy.
Many research studies have been conducted on the curative properties of Lingzhi mushroom. It was discovered that biologically active substances of Ganoderma have immunostimulant, antitumor, antiviral, antibiotic, lipid-lowering, hypoglycemic, hepatoprotective, genoprotektornoe, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergy, anti-oxidant effect. These substances are able to regulate the work of cardiovascular cardiovascular, respiratory and nervous systems.
Lingzhi is called the "mushroom of immortality". Traditional Chinese medicine considers Lingzhi as the best remedy due to wide scale of treatment and absence of side effects.
Ganoderma (Lingzhi) has analgesic, sedative and effect, relaxes the muscles, suppresses spasms, increases organism tolerance to lack of oxygen and low temperatures, causes a long and sustained reduction in blood pressure, increases urine output, has hepatoprotective effect, calms wheezing, stops coughing, promotes discharge of phlegm. The polysaccharides that extracted from Ganoderma downregulate blood sugar. Ganoderma also suppresses the development of the pneumococcus, streptococcus Group A, white staphylococcus, influenza bacillus. Ganoderma acids have anti-allergic effect and improve oxygen uptake.
The medical research proves that anti-cancer effect of Lingzhi mushrooms caused by polysaccharides and fatty substances that are probably ergosterol. Many other medicinal mushrooms contain active antitumor polysaccharides. Ganoderma is a unique mushroom because it also contains so-called terpenoids, which increases resistance to stress, potentiates the action of superoxide dismutase preventing the accumulation of free radicals. The specific effect of the polysaccharides releases in the activation of macrophages and T-lymphocytes, stimulation of interferon and a general improvement in the immune response at the cellular level. They have no toxic effects on the human body and they are medically safe.
The degree of damaged immune system recovery, including those with the AIDS, and anti-tumor activity depends on the Lingzhi mushroom therapy duration.
Lingzhi is considered both a tonic and adaptogenic drug. It strengthens the body as a tonic substance, and it helps to adapt to stress as an adaptogen. It is a natural adaptogen that improves the normal body functioning. It enhances some components of immune response of cancer carrier, and also inhibits the pathological changes of the immune system in autoimmune diseases.
Terpenoids (derivatives of terpenes) increase resistance to stress. That is analog to "harmony restoration" according to traditional medical terminology. This is the basic action of adaptogens. Triterpenes affect innate immunity, including complimentary activity and macrophage function. They improve liver function and have many valuable pharmacological properties, such as lowering blood lipid levels, normalization of blood pressure, calming effect on the nervous system, reducing inflammation and pain, promoting detoxification of the body, an antioxidant effect.
The Lingzhi pores contain the nucleoside analogs, that include adenine, adenosine and uracil RNA. These substances have physiologically active effect. adenosine perfectly prevents the formation of blood clots.
The Ganoderma contains 10 times more natural organic germanium than in ginseng. Germanium helps to identify cancer cells, induces macrophage to envelop the tumor cells and also stimulates the production of interferon, improves the function of the immune systems and inhibits the growth of cancer cells.
Recent laboratory and clinical research have determined anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antibacterial, anti-allergic and anti-tumor Lingzhi properties. Lingzhi has special therapeutic value for the treatment diseases of the upper respiratory tract (chronic bronchitis and many other diseases).
Lingzhi benefits:
It strengthens the immune cells and humoral system.
It improves liver function and stimulates the metabolism.
It prevents cancer.
It prevents and relieves symptoms of cerebrovascular disease and hyperlipidemia.
It eases symptoms of the nervous system diseases.
It eases symptoms of cough, relieves symptoms of asthma, acting spasmolytic.
It inhibits the production of superoxide free radicals.
It displays hydroxyl radicals.
It has an antioxidant effect.
It restores the bloodstream of the pancreas.
It lowers blood sugar.
In terms of traditional medicine the special Lingzhi property is its ability to increase the power of the spirit and enhance the positive emotional state. Ganoderma acids have anti-allergic effect and improve oxygen uptake. Lingzhi extract is used as a remedy for almost all diseases in Japan and China, but each treatment requires an individual dosing method.
Lingzhi has five main medicinal benefits:
1.Lingzhi has a strong anti-tumor effect (while taking the Lingzhi drug both benign and malignant tumors regress).
2.Lingzhi treats cardiovascular diseases much better than shiitake mushroom.
3.Lingzhi treats mental illness. This rare property was first mentioned in the seventeenth century, when it was used to treat epilepsy of the heir Mikado.
4.Lingzhi treats allergic diseases. The American Cancer Institute has found that Lingzhi contains a substance called "lanostan" that inhibits the formation of antibodies. At the present day asthma, atopic dermatitis and other allergic reactions are successfully treated (and cured!) with Lingzhi drugs.
5.Lingzhi treats any of pulmonary diseases.
RECOMMEND! Please consult with a specialist for using Lingzhi as a remedy!
You can use Lingzhi as additive to puer or red tea in small amounts (0.5-1 gram per brew)
Of course, treatment with Lingzhi fungus is a long lasting process, it takes one - two years. But it is effective and does not cause any side effects!
