This is excellent type of “Old Single Bush” tea sort from Huang Nu Lung Garden in Daan village. It is situated on the west side of Fenghuan Mountain, 800m above sea level. The garden is 250 years old. This sort of tea bush is one of the four famous sorts on the west side of Fenghuang mountain. It has medium size (average 2.7 m), it is straight-stemmed and branching. It is named “Yan Mei” due to similarity with Chinese plum leaf.
The leaves of the dry tea are elegant, accurate twisted and have dark green and yellow green color. The aroma of dry tea is very gentle and flower. The infusion is clear and has light yellow color with pine resin tint and which getting darker during tea time.
The bucket of brewed tea sounds with famous “Chaozhou melody” in the slightest floral tones. There is no any “loud” tones, all the nuances are tender, chill and delicate. These are freshness of blossoming plum, narcissus moisture and white carnation purity. The light spicy nuance, soft astringency of berries and typical sour taste of blackberry come at the middle of tea time. The taste is silky, smooth and rich. The aroma is elegant, delicate and very attractive. Tea drink has gorgeous fresh aftertaste.
Brew tea with a bit chilled boiled water (90-95°С) in gaiwan or yixing teapot for oolongs. Take 3-4 gr for 120 ml volume dish. For infusion just shed tea with water at the beginning of tea time and after fifth-sixth infusion gradually increase the infusion time. Infuse this way for 12 times and longer.
