This is wild-growing Mao Feng, “Fluffy Peaks”. It is produced from early spring buds in the Mingshan county (Mengding Peak, Sichuan province).
The dry tea consists of tiny spiral olive-green leaves and buds, rich covered with silver hairs. The aroma of dry tea is fresh with herbal and honey nuances. The infusion color is clear with a light green tint.
The bouquet of brewed tea is fresh, bright, with herbal and flower tones. The aroma is tender and light. The taste is soft, oily, smooth, sweet. At the end of the tea time slight herbal astringency comes which turns into the nice refreshing aftertaste.
Infuse this tea with chilled boiled water (80-85°С) in a porcelain gaiwan or in glass teaware. Take 3 grams for 100 ml volume dish. Shed tea with water and increase infusion time gradually. This tea can be infused for 6-7 times this way.
It is an excellent choice for the everyday tea time. It is very light, friendly and alive. It perfectly quenches thirst, gives energy, refreshes perception and lifts the spirit.
