Lao Gu Shu Cha Bing, Da Ye Plant, raw material 2004
Small plant Da Ye is situated in the Jinggu Mountains at an altitude of above 2920 meters, in Xishuangbanna district,the west part of Puer tea region. “Ancient Trees Tea” is produced here specially for “MoyChay” company. Tealeaves were harvested by native tribes Yi and Dai who live here. There is wild tea trees forest here, natural plants are not cut and no chemicals are used to grow them. Most of these trees have been grown since XIX century, when tea culture was blossoming here.
Dry tea cake is quite well compressed and easily crushed. Tea cake consists of dark brown rolled leaves, red and beige buds and fragments of thin stem. The aroma is warm, mellow with woody, nutty tones.
Lao Gu Shu Cha is brewed with 95-100°С water in yixing teapot or in gaiwan. Take 7 gr for 120ml vessel. Make first infusion for 8-10 seconds, after just rinse water through teapot or gaiwan, brewing longer each next infusion. Brew this way 10-12 times.
That is an excellent gift for shu puer enthusiasts for everyday brewing. The taste is balanced, tea has tonic and balancing effects.
