«Nanjing Yesheng Hong Cha» is a red tea of light fermentation from Nanjing County (South-West of Fujian Province), spring harvest of 2019.
In appearance: medium-sized, violet-green spirals of twisted leaves with thin cuttings. The fragrance is intensive, floral-herbaceous. The liquor is transparent, with the shade of a grape.
The bouquet of the ready-made tea is fresh, floral-herbaceous with notes of sunflower seeds, spices and berries (the flavor profile resembles Qingxiang Oolong). The fragrance is intensive, floral-herbaceous; the cold fragrance is sweet, floral. The taste is full-bodied and soft, sweet, with a fine berry sourness and juicy bitterness of grapefruit in the lingering finish.
Brew tea with hot water (75-80°С) in a porcelain gaiwan or in a teapot of porous clay. The proportion is 5 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 5-7 seconds. After that do short steeps (just for 1 second), increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can repeat steeping up to 10 times.
