«Tangbei Donding Oolong» was made in 2019 in a small tea farm situated in Lugu area (Nantou County) by traditional technology of prolonged baking over charcoal («tangbei») from spring shoots of Oolong variety.
In appearance: small, brown-green pellets of twisted tea shoots with tinny cuttings. The aroma is intensive, spicy-biscuit. The liquor is transparent, with a shade of meadow honey.
The bouquet of the ready-made tea is multifaceted and warm, spicy-and-woody, with fruity, biscuit and floral notes. The aroma is rich and deep, complex, spicy-biscuit. The taste is refined and full-bodied, buttery, sweetish, a bit spicy, with delicate woody tartness, fruity sourness, and long, refreshing finish.
Brew tea with hot water (80-90°C) in a porcelain gaiwan or in a teapot of porous clay. The proportion is 6 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 8-10 seconds. After that do short steeps (just for 1-2 seconds), increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can steep the tea up to 15 times.
«Tangbei Donding Oolong» is a great choice for gongfucha style. It relieves fatigue and stress, gives rise to the feeling of warmth and comfort.
