Sticky powder or "joss stick glue" is a neutral, sticky substance used in the manufacturing of incense sticks, especially in traditional Chinese incense production. The tree commonly used for joss stick glue is the Litsea glutinosa, also known as "jut" or "tabu." The resin extracted from this tree is used as a sticky base in incense stick manufacturing.
The aroma is multifaceted, diverse, bright, but at the same time calm, cool in character, cozy, high, ringing in tone. Floral-herbaceous, fresh, woody, spicy, rocky-mineral, coniferous.
