A limited collection of porcelain figurines «Shibari» from the sculptor Moychay Ceramics.
The product is made by a multi-stage semi-manual method. The model of a young girl made by the artist is divided into several parts, from each of which the form is removed. Each part of the body is made separately by casting, then the master connects the porcelain parts together and works out the details of the image of the figurine.
Porcelain ropes on the figures are tied according to the classical schemes of shibari, kimbaku (Japanese art of restricting the mobility of the body by means of ropes).
The hand-made underglaze painting imitates Irezumi, a traditional Japanese tattoo referring to the heroes and plots of Japanese culture.
