At The Moichai Tea Culture Club.Andrey Zhilin, a flutist and a great admirer of Japanese culture, the founder of the "Shakuhachi in Russia" movement, a participant of international shakuhachi festivals, one of the creators and a member of the Tori group, will perform here.
Two Japanese instruments will be played at the concert: shamisen and shakuhachi. Shamisen came to Japan from China in the XV century. Japanese folk songs and a modern work will be performed on it. The shakuhachi flute has been known in Japan since the VII century. In the Middle Ages, wandering monks played it, and by the end of the XIX century, the flute was used as part of ensembles. Both medieval classics and modern and original compositions will be performed at shakuhachi.
The price includes a tea treat. As one wise man said: "Tea and bamboo are just made for each other"!
